Our Story

People first. Always.

Aloha Cares Foundation began at a kitchen table in Greeley, Colorado — and has grown into a regional movement of neighbors helping neighbors.

A Letter From Our Founder

From William Pilch

In 2018, after years of volunteering with food pantries and disaster response teams across Colorado, I kept seeing the same gap: families weren't just hungry or unhoused — they were tired of being treated like a number.

So I started Aloha Cares with a simple idea borrowed from a state I love: aloha isn't a greeting, it's a way of caring for one another. Show up, listen first, and act with dignity.

What began as weekend grocery runs out of my truck is now a team of 14 staff and over 600 volunteers serving Weld, Larimer, and Adams counties. Thank you for being part of it.
